Pueblo County Court Dockets

Pueblo County court records in Colorado are available through several channels. PuebloCourt.us allows you to quickly find public information about court cases in the county. Additionally, records can be searched through the official online tools of the state's judicial branch, directly at the Clerk of Court's office, or at public terminals in the courthouse.

Pueblo Court System & Jurisdictions

Pueblo County is served by a combined court — Pueblo Combined Court, which combines the functions of the District Court and the County Court under one roof.

District Court handles more serious categories of cases:

  • Criminal felony cases (serious crimes)
  • Civil claims with a dispute amount over $25,000
  • Family cases — divorce, child custody, alimony (procedure information available on the divorce and separation page)
  • Probate cases — approval of wills, appointment of guardians and estate administrators
  • Cases for protection against domestic violence and harassment

County Court deals with smaller-scale cases. These include misdemeanors (less serious offenses), traffic violations, small claims cases with amounts up to $7,500, and civil claims up to $25,000. FED/Evictions cases are heard on Mondays and Thursdays at 8:30 AM.

Both court levels operate at the same address, so to search for documents, you only need to know the case number or party name — the system will show which jurisdiction the case belongs to.

Pueblo Court Calendar & Upcoming Hearings

To find out which hearings are scheduled for today, tomorrow, or this week, use the Docket Search tool on the Colorado Judicial Branch website. To search, you need to specify at least one filter besides the date — for example, the party's last name, case number, or judge's name.

Some practical tips:

  1. Go to the Docket Search page and select "Pueblo" as the county.
  2. Enter the date or date range, as well as the party's last name or case number.
  3. The system will show a list of scheduled hearings with the room, time, and judge indicated.

The Pueblo County page also has a link for docket search specifically for this county. If you need access to virtual courtrooms, the list is available on the main page of the Colorado Judicial Branch.

Eviction hearings are held twice a week. The schedule for other hearings depends on the case category, so for exact times, it's worth checking the system or calling the clerk's office.

How to Get a Copy of a Pueblo Court Document

Copies of court documents come in two types: uncertified and certified. An uncertified copy is suitable for review, while a certified one is needed if the document is required for another court, government agency, or official procedure.

Online request. Fill out the document request form on the Colorado Judicial Branch website. Specify the case number, document type, and whether a certified copy is needed. The clerk's office may restrict access to certain parts of the case — for example, juvenile cases or sealed records.

In-person visit. Contact the court clerk's office at the address:

Clerk of Court — Pueblo Combined Court
501 N. Elizabeth StreetPueblo, CO 81003Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:00 PM

By mail. Send a written request to the specified address. Include the full name of the party, case number (if known), document name, and type of copy. Add payment in the form of a money order.

Some records have restricted access. Cases that have been sealed by court order are not issued without special permission. Older divorce records may be stored in the Colorado State Archives rather than the county court.

If you need a state-level criminal history check, contact the Colorado Bureau of Investigation — this is a separate procedure with its own fees, not related to the court clerk's office.
